General Conference
We love General Conference. It happens only twice a year and we get to hear from the leaders of our church on things pertaining to the Gospel. We get reminded of what we need to work on to be closer to our Heavenly Father and given new inspiration to live a life more like his Son, Jesus Christ. We try to make it super fun for the boys since it is truly important and it is kind of long. If you watched all of it, it would be six hours and 8 hours for adults. So we always make it fun by making a giant breakfast feast both days of conference. This year we had scones, pancakes, cinnamon things, sausage biscuits and gravy, quiche, fruit, egg and sausage casserole, and bacon. We invite people to come watch with us and we play general conference bingo and the boys have GC folders with all sorts of activities to keep them interested. This year we brought out the tents in honor of the first General Conference. We had so much fun!
I had to find special activities for Isaac. He liked the letter matching on the cookie sheet and he really liked the sticker bikes. He had to fill in all the lines on the bike with mini stickers. I found these ideas online...
