Easter!

So I made these for Easter this year!
Super Sweet and Cute!

I also made these super awesome ties for the boys!

I am on my neighborhood event planning committee...(because I'm bored in spare time)  We did this super cute Easter Party this year.

There was an Easter Bunny and face painting!

I did a pretty amazing job with decorations...good thing I had these all in my closet, lol!

Now that looks like a healthy lunch!

Isaac sat with a character for the first time ever.  He is usually very afraid of big costumes...

Kevin and Adam both found a golden egg during the Easter Egg hunt!

Here is a pic of some of the kids from our hood!

 Oops, lost a shoe.

3 legged races!

Then, on Easter Sunday we got all dressed up and went to church. Before that we got our Easter Baskets.  I have no pics from that.  But the boys scored and each got  a water gun and some bath paint soap.  This was Owen's first Easter!  He had no idea what was going on.

Our group  pictures almost always go like this...

Then after church we went to Mima and Papa's Home for their big Easter Party!  We had an Easter Egg Hunt and the boys scored!

They each got cute baskets from Papa and Mima with some fun toys to play with.

Aunt Barb had filled the eggs with cute toys and stickers and candies and the boys were super excited!

Then the big kids got to have an Easter Egg Hunt too.  I scored a subway card and Bryan got a coldstone gift card.  I also got a cool mustache tattoo for my finder and there were lots of bunny teeth involved!
Happy Easter 2013!  It is hard to imagine that last year I was laying on the couch in pre-labor and went to the hospital the day after Easter to have Owen.  Time sure does fly when you are having fun!

Family Home Evening

This year we have been trying really hard to commit to our weekly family home evening. This is something our church asks us to do. We take one evening each week and do something as a family that includes gospel teaching. This could be as simple as a little song and scripture and as ornate as a neighborhood wide treasure hunt. I got some cute pics when we took the boys out for ice cream and discussed how doing things together as a family (like going out to ice cream) can strengthen our family we also discussed how going to church, saying family prayers and having family scripture study are all ways we can strengthen our family! We then started a jar that we add noodles to each time we do one of these activities...when it is full we get to do something super cool together as a family. ( like go to a water park, or mini vacation)

Meeting Bob

Isaac loves the show Bob the Builder so when I heard we could have lunch with him for $1 because we are members at The Discovery Science Center (best Christmas Present ever, thanks Grandma and Grandpa) I knew we had to be there. Of course I bought tickets in advance thinking nothing of flu season and sure enough Adam, Owen Bryan and I were all still pretty ill. But I got up all my energy and took the two boys that were well and went out for pizza (don't ever buy pizza from a place called Z Pizza, it was terrible, the boys ate it though) we did a craft with Bob and got to get pics taken with him. Isaac was actually too afraid of Bob to take a picture with him, of course. Kevin did it though!

We then visited a few of the exhibits, here is Isaac the goalie!

And Kevin in a hurricane!

My sweet Kevin he is always a good sport!

Las Vegas

I love a change of scenery! We got an awesome opportunity to crash my parents vacation! They were there for Magic, a fashion show for retailers. I got to go to that too, it was super fun! We found lots to do in Vegas!
First we decided to watch the fountains at the Bellagio!

It was to "My Heart Will Go On"

Look at these cute faces!

We tried out a couple buffets. The Flamingo buffet was okay but the buffet at The Paris was amazing. I never worry about getting my money's worth for the kids because they only eat shrimp and crab at these buffets! They love seafood!

And cotton candy!

We spent a day at the pool. It was lovely. The pool at the Whyndam where we stayed was amazing!

Then we took the boys out on the town! We saw New York, Paris, and the MGM Grand!

A family outside the MGM gave us free tickets for the Monorail so we took a train ride! Isaac loved this adventure! We left Owen with my parents while we were out it was so nice and by then he wasn't feeling very well :( .

We went and saw a juggling act at Circus Circus. It ended up being a very long walk from the Monorail...yikes!

But the boys had tons of fun there.

We even squeezed in a date. We had taken a tour at the time share and gotten $100 in food vouchers which is how we ate out at the buffets. We used up the last of a our vouchers and went back to the Paris buffet because it was amazing and then went down to Fremont Street.

We had so much fun on our mini vacation. Yes, Owen and Isaac got sick but hey it was flu season.
I know there are more pics (mom? Dad? ) so if you've got them please send them :)
