Talk Like a Pirate

Talk Like a Pirate Day at Krispy Kreme doughnuts is one of  Kevin's favorite days of the year...He said so!  Kevin and Adam dressed up and convinced me I should too.  Owen did his part too and wore his Pirate shirt and made a pirate face for me.

We scored serious doughnuts!  Good things we had lots of friends and family to share them with.  because three of us dressed up we got 3 DOZEN DOUGHNUTS!  (Isaac was at preschool, he dressed up after school as well and ate his pirate doughnut)

Mommy Date with my Biggest Boy

We take the boys on dates on their own so we get some one on one time with them.  Bryan has taken all of them out so now it is my turn and of course we are going oldest to youngest.  Kevin was first.  We planned on watching a movie but the line was too long and the movie was sold out so we did 3 things instead of 1!

We jumped on the giant bungee trampoline in the mall.

We got double chocolate chip Frappuccino's at Starbucks!

Then we headed over to the Discovery Science Center and did all the things Kevin wanted to do there.

We ended with some test tube candy!!  It was a good first date...He's a keeper.  He opened ALL the doors for me.  He even opened the car doors while he made me wait for him to get out first and get the door.  He was a perfect gentleman!

Vacation Marathon! Camping at Doheny!

Ok so it is true we pretty much just went on Vacation in September!  4 days after we got back from Indo we went beach camping in Doheny!  It was soooo much fun we want to make it an annual event!  The boys learned how to surf and we played in the sand and water everyday for 4 days!  We really did have a blast.  We were extra lucky to have some friends camping with us.  The Zapatas joined us.  They have 3 boys so it was a crazy boy fun week of boy play!

Here is Bryan taking Kevin out for his first surfing lesson!

and here is Kevin standing up!

Here is a little lesson about perspective!

More water play!

Here is Adam standing up on the surfboard!

Adam and I made a super cool sandcastle!

Here is our super cool campsite!

This was our tent's last trip!  It has too many holes that we just can't keep patched.  It had a good run it was the tent I used with my family as a teenager!

Here is another Pic of Adam up on the board!

We All Scream For Ice Cream!!!

This campground was great!  The best sites are of course on the beach side (bigger) and there are hot showers for 25 cents for 5 minutes (so cheap).  Plus it is seriously ON THE BEACH!  we never left the beach and had no need to.  Oh and you can walk to ice cream!

Indio Vacation

In September we went on vacation with my mom and hung out in Indio for the better part of a week. We had lots of fun even though it was over a hundred degrees everyday. We ate lots of ice cream and did lots of swimming. Bryan was able to be there for the first 3 days of our trip and we made sure we did lots of fun stuff while he was with us.
We went to our favorite buffet at the Marriott Hotel.

We watched a movie with popcorn at the on site theater. (The smurfs)

Even Owen got in on the action.

We went to Johnnie Rockets on Shake day and picked up a couple free shakes!

We ate lots of ice cream on the balcony!

When we tired of all of that we went out for frozen yogurt, yum!!!

The Lazy River was a huge hit!

We enjoyed the local wildlife, there was tons of it.

We beat the heat in the game room!

I taught a couple lessons in pool!

Bryan taught the boys how to play ping pong!

On our trips back and forth to the pool we would stop off at the playground and get really hot!!

The grounds where we stayed were absolutely beautiful.

We fit school work into our busy schedule everyday!

And Owen enjoyed pushing cars across the kitchen!

I love vacations! We are so fortunate to have so many opportunities to see new places and experience new things!
