Eight Is Great!

We are so proud of Kevin!  He chose to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa there as well as Nana, Uncle Geoffrey, Uncle Chris, and Aunt Lindsey.  Also he had friends who came from far far away.  The Cooke Family and McCoy Family also came down to support this little cutie.  We also had lots of local friends that come out to see and support Kevin as well.  He is definitely well loved.  Both Joel Cooke and Nana gave amazing talks at his baptism.

Kevin was well prepared and studied his scriptures.

He was baptized by his dad, Bryan Low on November 23, 2013!

Here was Kevin's program. He was so excited to pick out his favorite songs.

Kevin turns 8

I cannot believe I have an 8 year old, but alas it is true.  We had several celebrations for Kevin this year.  First one was in Tahoe with Grandma and Grandpa. Then we got together with Mima and Poppa, which was a super hit especially since he got $$ to spend at Disneyland and there was ice cream cake which is always a winner with Kevin!  Look how old he is looking....yikes!

Kevin opted for a trip to Disneyland instead of a party with his friends.  He was lucky we have such awesome friends and were able to get signed in to D-land for the day!  He even got to bring a friend and he and Viktor had lots of fun!  He was given a pin that said his name and that it was his birthday so all day everyone at Disneyland wished him happy birthday by name.  He was king for a day!!

waiting in line to see Thor, this was probably the longest line we waited in all day...about 20 minutes...
It was worth it though because I got to snap this picture...the most terrible picture of all time.  everyone looks sooo happy don't they?  They actually really were but were into the hammer not the picture...

While some rode Space Mountain others got to play with the giant rolling ball!

We brought our own dinner, of course...PB&J between parks!

Someone really liked the Mater Ride in California Adventure!

We bought ourselves some more time by buying some glowing toys for the little guys!

And what can I say I love this picture!  Hilarious...they saved splash mountain for last and Kevin said it was his favorite ride...Adam was not as sure, he liked Indiana Jones the best.

Ghost Town...Bodie, CA

If you ask the boys what we did in Tahoe last time they will probably just tell you about the 2 hour stop off we did on the way home in Bodie, Ca.  This is a ghost town.  The largest in the United States actually.  It is about 13 miles off the main road (395) 10 of those miles are paved.  Then there are 3 very long miles of dirt road.  The views, though, are amazing!

This place was so cool.  It had a graveyard which we got to "respectfully" check out. We walked the  streets that cowboys and outlaws walked.  The boys got to see some pretty shabby cabins and even see "an ancient computer" aka...typewriter.  The boys will tell great stories about the founder of Bodie...just ask them but be ready for the excitement of people being frozen to death in snow, no churches, only saloons, and tons of other stories that intrigued our little guys (and their parents)!
