weekend happenings!!

We had a fun weekend


Friday I took the boys to the aquarium. I learned that the aquarium is an awesome place to be after 2, and I'll never go in the a.m. again.

watching the whale show, we watched it 3 times!

Saturday we went to Mima and Papa's house.
Isaac got his first haircut!!!

Then Saturday night we went up to Studio City for our friend, Arianne Campbell's graduation party. it was so fun to hang with the old gang!!

bags and such

Last night I made bags and zippered pouches for the boys. After I made some gathered clutches for myself my boys asked if they could have some for their cars. I thought it was a great idea and got to work on cutting out the patterns and then I made the bags to go with them, which I had a starter pattern for but sized it down (a lot) and then added a flap to it so it would look more boyish, more like a messenger bag. The boys woke up to find them this morning and they love them, thank goodness :)

Homework!!

Kevin did his homework all by himself he asked how to spell the words-----he wrote the letters-------he drew the picture-------and he wrote his name (he asked how to spell that too :D) but really I am just so impressed I'm sure other kids are just as smart but it is a first for us, so worth documenting

It goes by so fast!!!

Peralta Park!!

We love this park. It is right across the street from Kevin's little pre-school so it is easy to spend time there either with Adam after I drop Kevin off or even after I pick Kevin up and go over for a picnic which is what we did today. While we were there 12-1:30 the sprinklers turned on in one of the big grassy areas then the fun really began!

Fun With Friends

This week we got to spend a couple days with some of our friends. Today we had are Anaheim buddies, Tyler and Mia over for the morning. It was super fun and included playing outside, playing inside, Mario Kart with B (after he got back from helping their parents move :( .... and making and decorating cupcakes because we were pretending we were Knights and super girl and it was all of our birthdays!! Cupcakes are a must for a birthday party...

Then on Wednesday we got to go to Knotts Berry Farm with the Cooke Boys! Kien and Caleb. We rode the log ride, the kiddy roller coaster, 4 times, bounced in the giant bounce house, rode the airplanes and trucks, the carousel, and the bus and we even got candy necklaces

Adam on the carousel, he doesn't like to go up and down so he rides the stationary ones today the LION, roooaaarrrr!

Kevin and Kien rode the ostriches,(I wonder if I spelled that right) a funny choice, but I like it!!

B you are the best!

I Know it is not quite Mother's Day but I got my gift today and it is totally Awesome and totally gorgeous and girly and pretty and all of those things which makes this mom surrounded by dirt dump trucks, trains and other noisy boyish things so so happy :D. Thank you B, I love you!

Weekend Fun For Everyone!!!

This was a very fun weekend for our family. Friday night was the Father Son Camp out for our new Stake here in Anaheim. The boys invited their good friends, the Cooke Boys, and met up with some new friends to pitch a tent and roast some dogs!! While they were away I was home with baby Isaac trying to figure out what to do with myself so I............................Painted my bathroom taking cues from my fabulous gal pal Brooke McCoy who recently did a similar task while most of her family was away. It turned out great and I am so glad it is finally done. No more big green splotch on my bathroom wall reminding me daily that I should paint that!!

I took pictures of flowers in our front area and printed them out and framed them and had B hang them, I can't wait to use my bath...hhmmmhmmm I need candles. I am thinking some like these or these for around the tub.

The boys came home from their camping trip and rested up for a couple of hours then the fun really kicked in. Our old friends, I say old because we have known each other nearly 10 years, came to visit us and have a dinner party!!! (and by party I mean partaaayyy!!!)

We had 9 children between our 3 families and reminisced about the days when we would all get together before we had ANY children, that seems like so long ago and yet not so long ago

We had such a fun time with our friends and hope we can get together again soon. I also found out that if you had a household of 13 people eating real food you could go through two costco pizzas, a giant salad, a pan of spaghetti, a giant sheet cake, 3 two liters of pop, and smoothies for all in one meal!! yeah we would have to make so much more money $$$$$$ good thing we don't plan on having 11 kids :)
