Carving the Pumpkin

We decided this year that better late than never would have to do on the pumpkin carving front. This being said on Saturday the day after Halloween Bryan and Kevin carved the pumpkin and it looks great and we are the only people with a nice looking jack-o-lantern on Monday (3 days after Halloween) Well other people might have nice looking ones but I am a little biased.

Halloween, A Weekend of Fun

This Halloween we were able to get some good use out of our costumes. Friday night the boys went to a party at the Cooke home and then we all went trick or treating with all of our friends in Toluca lake, including our Nana. Funny Story: or maybe it is more amazing than funny. Adam took off his boot while we were walking the neighborhood. Of course we did not notice this until much later, so sadly as we were heading back we took our time in hopes of finding a little cloth, brown boot in the dark that would look strangely like a leaf. Surprisingly we FOUND IT! I was so amazed that we were able to find it. It was not even on the street where we noticed it missing. It was such a relief. I was so sad at the thought of his boot being gone, I don't even know why I was so sad because the night was over, but now I can pass on this costume, in it's completeness to some other adorable little boy. After finding the boot the rest of the night seemed flawless. Later mom and dad went to another party while the little ones dreamt of candy (I'm sure). Saturday was fun too because we went to our final Halloween party at our neighbor's house, What a Fun Weekend! Here are some pics...

The Boys! Check out Adam's Costume (Dad got the boys dressed, and even took pics for mom, what a great dad) They even have their toy props...

out trick or treating in Toluca Lake, we got caramel apples...How awesome is that!!

Arianne and I...Arianne was the hostess of the fabulous Halloween Party we went to after the kids went to bed. It was tons of fun and I can't wait for next year.

Underwood Farms

Underwood Farms is the thing to do to get in the spirit of fall. We went with my sister Sarah and the Cooke Family last weekend and had such a blast. All the boys had so much fun playing together and although they were all napless or almost they did a fabulous job keeping the whining and such to a minimum (probably because their friends were there). Here are some pics courtesy of Michelle and Joel's fabulous talents.

Is it the age?

Am I now grown up? I have asked myself this lately due to a few comments that have been made to me actually, the same comment 3 times by 3 different people. the comment is and (yes they all approached this cautiously) "You seem to have changed from a teenager to a woman overnight"....To myself "really?" So I have been thinking what has changed. My hair has changed, if anything I thought it was sort of an immature hairdo (I mean not really grown up), I have two kids but have had that for over a year now. I wore make-up on Sunday, may explain one of the comments does not explain the other two. Maybe I just all of the sudden started looking old, how sad, better put...I have flourished into womanhood so I am here to embrace it, I am no longer a teenager or one of the young couples in the ward or so cute...blah blah (all the comments I use to get for all of these years) I have grown up and it shows.

EbelSkivers?

One of the birthday gifts I received was an Ebelskiver pan which looks like this

I tried it first on Sunday and again today and have decided it is my new favorite toy. Honestly before Bryan bought it for me I had never heard of ebelskivers and I had no idea what this pan could have been for. But now I get it and Kevin loves them which makes it even more fun. Here was my first go at it. Pumkin ebelskivers with pumkin cream cheese filling. They turned out very good.

Today we made what I called Pancake surprise I put chocolate chips in the middle it was very exciting for Kevin, and me too.

So, breakfast at my place, anyone?

To all my friends

This post goes out to all my friends, my husband, my mother-in-law, my sisters and my parents who all made my birthday (week) absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much for the notes on facebook, the parties here and there, the texts on my phone, the phone calls, and the birthday cards and gifts, the babysitting and the love that went into making this birthday one of my favorites ever, maybe it was actually my very favorite birthday not bad considering it is not even a cool age. I love you all and thanks again. I have such wonderful people around me.
